The Peoples Republic of Europe started on the 4th of june 2000. In those days only Pieter Winkelaar. The first CDr demo "Cumulonimbus" was darkambient/drone music. The second CDr album "Thirst" was a transistion between drones and rhytmic noise/powernoise. From the third album "Steel and honour" onwards tPROE main musical course is harsch industrial electronics. In those days tPROE also started playing live shows. At first with David van Nederveen on oildrums and industrial percussion. Later Daryl Grootfaam joined for live vocals and MC.
The fourth CDr album "Among the ruins" was a moderate succes which led to the decision to stop releasing on CDr, and start releasing on CD (and sometimes vinyl). In 2004 the first CD album "Juche" was released. The next year saw the release of "Monopoly of violence" which gained quite some notoriety in the industrial scene, and the download album "Cumulonimbus II ambient recordings 2003-2005. In 2006 tPROE released "Under stress". In 2007 "Lubrication" was released. For people that supported tPROE another download album with covers, remixes and alternative versions was made available as a download. This album is called "Mixtape".
