The Vomit Arsonist is a power electrioncs artists based in Providence, RI.

Started in 2001, as a cure for boredom, the initial goal of the project was to create a sound so awful that no one would ever listen. As it turns out, people will listen to anything, and upon recieving decent feedback from close friends and fellow musicians, the project was taken more seriously. In 2003 and 2004, The Vomit Arsonist performed three times, always with Flandex, a then IDM artist. The shows were used as an excuse to cause a nusiance in public venues, and props such as blow up dolls, markers, duct tape, rubber chickens, costumes and wigs were all made use of. During the third and final performance, the duo were kicked out of a Boston venue not ten minutes into their set.

In 2004 and 2005, two albums were recorded for the Traumatic Creations netlabel. Loose Girls Make the Best Wives alternated musically between harsh noise and powernoise from song to song. Self Laceration was a much more subtle and emotional endeavor, containing much piano and string work over beds of dark ambience and noise. Both albums are available for free download at archive.org.

In 2006, The Vomit Arsonist released his first CD-r for Voidstar Productions. Taking things much more seriously by this point, the album is over an hour of chaotic noise and sub-atomic drones. After the release of Axiom, live performances became more abundant, leading The Vomit Arsonist to play with acts such as Bloodyminded, 4 Way Anal Touchfight, Massdirge, and Bereft, as well as at Hell Lab 4 in New York City, alongside acts like Terrorfakt, Edgey, Nau-Zee-auN, Tonikom, Operation:Mindwipe and Hansel. In 2007, The Vomit Arsonist joined the power electronics artist Bereft as well as labelmates Pine Tree State Mind Control on stage at the C.O.M.A.4 festival in Montreal, Canada.

As of late 2007/early 2008, The Vomit Arsonist has completed his latest full length, titled "Wretch." The album is a slight departure from his normal style, incorporating ambient and drone textures, while still mixing harsh noise and power electronics. "Wretch" will hopefully see a 2008 release.

The Vomit Arsonist has also made live appearances as a member of Terrorfakt, and is a frequent collaborator with Nau-Zee-auN and Bereft.
